![]() Like messages about war, taking lives, immortality. Some of them gave me more to think about than I thought it would, with messages I wasn't expecting by just reading the description or looking at the cover. Another thing I love is the journal entries in the beginning of every chapter. Citra reflects on a time when a boy asked another boy to go to prom instead of asking her (she recalls being very surprised and a little hurt). ![]() A couple uses of "bastard", "hell", and "damn". ![]() There was one kiss (not passionate, more of a test). The characters were unique and the action was gripping (though often times it was just the story that kept me going). The storyline was smooth and the story stayed with it. ![]() So glad I did! To start it was a very creative world. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would! Some of my friends told me it wasn't a very good book, but I thought I'd give it a go. ![]()
